Obituary of Frank J. Dutoit

Frank J. Dutoit, 89, peacefully passed away at Care Age Rehabilitation Center in Brookfield, Wisconsin June 16, 2009, under the care of Allay Hospice. Frank was born February 16, 1920 in the Borough of Manhattan, NYC to the late Frank J. and Mary Braun Dutoit. He graduated from Keyport, NJ high school in 1936. Frank served during WWII as a First Lieutenant in the 8th Air Force 92 Bomb Group in the European, African and Middle Eastern Theatre, stationed in Podington, England. Following the war, Frank returned home to New Jersey, to his bride Phyllis and their first son. Frank spent most of his working career as an industrial engineer and project manager for Merck Pharmaceuticals, Rahway, NJ. During his career he traveled and lived in Mexico City, Cramlington England and Montreal Canada managing the construction of new production facilities. His passion was golf which he played for over 50 years in both Florida and Old Orchard Country Club in Eatontown, NJ. He fondly remembered his golfing partners and his poker group and their numerous golfing trips to Myrtle Beach. His wife Phyllis Evans Dutoit died in 1989; he was also predeceased by his parents and his sister Dorothy Ginter. He is survived by two sons and daughters-in-laws, Peter and Susan Dutoit, Phoenix, AZ., and Don and Ruth Dutoit, Brookfield, WI. Loving grandfather of five grandchildren, Jessica and her husband Colin Henderson of Springdale AR., Paul of Milwaukee, WI., Peter of Eatontown, NJ., Phil of Tucson, AZ., and Mike of Milwaukee, WI.; proud great-grandfather of Mia Jane Henderson of Springdale, AR. He is further survived by his many lifelong friends in Long Branch, NJ. A memorial gathering will be held, July 15th, 10 - 11:00 AM at the Woolley Funeral Home, 10 Morrell St. at Broadway, Long Branch. A celebration of life funeral service will be at 11:00 AM at the funeral home. The ennichment will follow in Woodbine Mausoleum, Oceanport.
