Obituary of Helen I. Worth

Helen Worth, 90 went to her final resting place on Jan 16th, 2009 in St Augustine FL., after a three month stay with her daughter, Linda W. Harper. She died as she had lived, with dignity, and at home under the care of Haven Hospice. She was concerned until the end for those tending to her. She was born in Bethlehem, Pa but was a 64 year resident of Deal. Her husband George ' Babe' Worth preceded her in death in 1998. She was an inspector in a munitions plant in Elizabeth during WWII before becoming a homemaker extraordinaire. She was active in the Deal Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary for many years along with the Cartonian Club of St Mary's Church. She also served as class mother at the Deal Elementary School several times. She is also survived by two sisters, Annie Shive & Elsie Symons of Bethlehem Pa, a son, George K. Worth of Gardiner, NY and five grandchildren; Shaun Harper of Jacksonville, Fl., Kristen Harper of Weymouth, Ma.,and Timothy, Allison and Benjamin Worth of Gardiner, NY. A memorial service in celebration of her life will be held at Woodbine Mausoleum, at 2pm Tues. before interment.
