Obituary of Francis Maggio
Francis Maggio, 64, passed away Tuesday October 11th in Lithia, Florida. Born in Long Branch, Frank was raised in West Long Branch and graduated from Shore Regional High School. Frank was a police officer for the Borough of West Long Branch, retiring in 1991. Following retirement, Frank became an entrepreneur, developing and operating several companies from construction to mortgage and real estate sales. He was a private pilot, flying out of Monmouth airport. With his family, Frank enjoyed boating, sailing his catamaran, and camping. He was a motorcycle enthusiast, where he enjoyed long rides with friends. Surviving are his children Jennifer & Thomas Andes, Flanders, NJ, Kristine & Thomas Turner, Smyrna, GA, Frank Maggio, II, Atlantic Beach, FL and Patrick Maggio, Ft. Lauderdale, FL; his mother Maria Baldanza Maggio; his siblings Maura & Tony Marrucca, Oakhurst, Joseph & Mary Maggio, Brielle, and Gina Cohen, West Long Branch and four grandchildren Kaylan, Levi, Alexandra and Frankie. Visitation Sunday October 16th 4:00 – 8:00 pm at the Woolley-Boglioli Funeral Home, 10 Morrell Street, Long Branch. Mass of Christian Burial Monday, October 17th 10:00 am at Star of the Sea RC Church, 101 Chelsea Avenue, Long Branch. Burial to follow in Glenwood Cemetery, West Long Branch.
