Obituary of Patrick J. Longo
Patrick J. Longo, 71 of Toms River, formerly of West Long Branch, died at the Community Medical Center, Toms River.
Pat was born in Jamesburg and had lived in West Long Branch for many years before moving to Toms River two years ago.
For 40 years Pat was the owner and operator of PJ Customs, which was a custom cabinet fabrication business in Long Branch. He enjoyed cooking, especially seafood. Every Sunday would be family dinner, Pat would cook enough for his family and any friends and family that wanted to join in. He was very close to his family , particularly his cousins who introduced him to his wife Cheryl while she was in nursing school.
He was a former member of Bamm Hollow Country Club, where he enjoyed many rounds of golf. He was an avid gardener, growing, eggplant, squash, tomatoes and several other vegetables.
Pat enjoyed spending time his three grandchildren, James, Mia and Joseph.
He was pre-deceased by his wife, Cheryl Kiss Longo in 2000.
Surviving is his three sons Patrick J. Longo, II and his wife Susan, Havre De Grace, Md, Charles Longo, Eatontown and Jonathan Longo, Ft. Lauderdale, Fl; his grandchildren, James, Mia and Joseph; his brother Charles A. Longo, Chula Vista, Ca.
Visitation Wednesday, Dec. 19th, 4 to 8 pm at the Woolley-Boglioli Funeral Home, 10 Morrell Street, Long Branch. Funeral services, Thursday, Dec. 20th, 9 am at the funeral home, followed by the mass of Christian burial at 10 am, at Star of the Sea RC Church, Corner of 2nd and Chelsea Avenue’s, Long Branch.
