Obituary of Hortensia Mendez-Romero
Hortensia Mendez-Romero, 40, passed away at home on Sunday, December 22.
She was born in Nealtican, Puebla, Mexico in 1979 to Maximino Mendez-Ramirez and Eulalia Romero-Castillo where she grew up before emigrating to the United States at 18 years old.
Hortensia loved life and enjoyed it to the fullest. She enjoyed her family’s company and would always walk around with a smile; she never had a bad day. Hortensia would cheer those around her in their gloomiest days. She spent most of her days at work as a floral designer for Creative Displays, if she wasn’t working, you could find her surrounded by family.
She is survived by her husband Isaac Valdetano-Luna, and their 3 children: Christopher, Jacqueline, and Sebastian Valdetano-Mendez; 13 siblings: Amalia, Aurelia, Felix, Isidoro, Carlos, Maximino, Alicia, Cristina, Elia, Leticia, Marta, Ana Lilia, and Irene Cindy; one grandchild: Isabella; and many loving nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, December 26 from 5-9pm at Woolley-Boglioli Funeral Home, 10 Morrell Street, Long Branch with a funeral home service in between. Burial arrangements are to be announced in Mexico.
