What an amazing person! A gift to medicine and humanity. His care and medical exceptionalism tickled many a mind and spirit during some tough times. And, his wisdom and humor, taken as prescribed, always healed the patient. He will forever be adored and appreciated in my heart. Thank you Dr. Harry. Condolences to his beautiful wife, Renee, and the family he loved and spoke of so proudly.

Dr. Harry took care of 4 generations in my family, my grandfather, my parents, myself and husband and my children, and also for my siblings children. There are no other doctors around like Dr. Swartz, he is 1 of a kind, he was the best diagnostician around, he could spend 5 minutes with you diagnose you, treat you and have you on your way to healing within minutes, I have never met another doctor like him ( except his son Steve) Thank you for molding him into you and leaving him here for us Dr. Harry, Thank you for all your compassionate and wise care over the years, always touched with a bit of humor when we were feeling our worse. My Dad had been sick and had some lab tests done prior to his visit with Dr. Swartz; on the day of the visit he was in the waiting room, which any patient of Dr Harry's know was always full; waiting his turn, Dr. Harry stuck his head out and said, "Frank we got your tests back, you know those 11 kids you have, they're not yours" OMG, my father sick as he was replied, "Now you tell me" This was classic Dr. Harry humor. As your Rabbi said at your service, when you left this earth, it was the end of an ERA in healthcare, he nailed it. Condolences to his family, how blessed you all were to have him as husband father, and grandfather, how blessed we were to call him our family doctor.

Dr. Harry will forever have a special place in my heart ❤️. Always gracious and kind, always smiling, always bringing his special sunshine and making everyone’s burdens a little lighter. He was loved by all, but for myself and the rest of the nurses at Riverview he brought a much needed respite from our worries of the day whenever he came to the floor. He will be greatly missed.

Dr. Harry was our family physician for over 60 years. He treated my mom and dad, Lucile and Frank Donato, my siblings and my husband and myself. Both he and Dr. Steve were like members of our family.
Dr.Harry was the most caring and competent doctor I have ever known. He passed on those qualities to his son.
Dr. Harry was a “one of a kind” doctor who recognized the “whole “ patient. He will be sorely missed and impossible to replace.
Our heart felled condolences are sent to his family and will be forever in our prayers.
Sincerely,
Michelle and Joe Cisar

I am beyond saddened at Dr. Harry’s passing. He was a brilliant and compassionate doctor who will be terribly missed in our community. He greeted every patient with his unfailing charm, but his dogged determination to help each patient without ever rushing or dismissing their concerns is what made him truly extraordinary. His love for everyone under his care was self evident. He definitely left this world a little better than how he found it. I am so grateful to him (and his son, Dr. Steve) for the 30+ years that we were in his care-we were blessed and feel incredibly privileged to have known him.

My heart is broken with the passing of Dr. Harry. He was such a caring and true and funny and brilliant man and I am so proud that he was my doctor. He was like "family". When my son was little he insisted on getting his sneakers at K-Mart because that is where Dr. Harry bought his!
Thank you for taking care of all of my family over these past 57 years, Dr. Harry.
And thank you for steering Dr. Steve in your footsteps. He is a remarkable man because of you.
I will love and respect and miss you forever, Dr. Harry.

I am so, so saddened by Dr. Harrys passing. I loved Dr. Swartz! Our whole family were patients of his beginning with my grandparents, Mike and Pearl Grosso. My Uncle Butch, Mike Grosso, worked for Harry for a while, as a driver. I started going to Dr. Harry when I was just a toddler. Dr. Harry literally saved my life twice. I would not be here today if it wasn't for him and one of those times is when I was a baby. Even though I waited when I came in for appointments I always knew I was going to get the best care and his undivided attention. As far as I am concerned there will never be another doctor as good as Dr. Harry. I will miss him greatly. Sending all my love and condolences. Cindy Pierce Grosso

Dr Harry took care of my Grandparents, my Parents, my Aunt and her family and myself until I moved too far away to get there. He set the bar high for Physicians and I have yet to find one who reaches it. His "where the hell am I, can I get some help in here" long after you thought you were going to be left in the treatment room long after dark when everyone had gone home, but when he came into the room to treat you, he was all yours. He was the first Dr to get one of my diagnosis correct long before my diagnosis was "popular" and when I was hospitalized for it every year he was there every day to see me. He was the only Dr. that my Father respected and my Mom ( a Nurse ) would listen to. He made my Grandmother giggle. You will be missed.

To the entire Swartz family,
Dr Harry was my emergency room Dr in 1989 and I credit him for saving my life. He became our family Dr that year. For the next 28 years Dr Harry and Dr Stephen cared for myself and my wife. The long hours waiting for Dr Harry in his office was always a story, a laugh and a caring smile. He was commanding during my emergency room treatment, his orders were followed by all. His "where am I, I need help in here," in his Middletown office was comical as his Nurses would move that little hat to a different door knob, keeping track of the next patient. Thank you Dr Harry and the entire Swartz family for Dr Harrys care loving care.

To the family and friends of Dr. Harry - please accept my sincere condolences on the passing of Dr. Harry. I was a patient of his for many years; he always took excellent care of me and my parents (as they too were patients of his). Dr. Harry always made me laugh; he knew I worked as a civilian for the Army and always asked me if I had any secrets I could share with him. Heaven gained a new angel today and I am sure he is making all the angels laugh.

As so many have, I grew up in Dr. Harry's care. But he was so much more than that. My father and he had grown up together and their Grandmothers were sisters. He had and Stephen cared for both of my parents with incredible respect and deep love until their passing and my gratitude for that is unending. There will remain a small empty space in my heart now. May the entire Swartz family find peace at this time.
