David Martinez

Obituary of David Martinez

David Martinez, 30 of Long Branch died at home on Sunday, March.22.2020

He was born and raised in Long Branch. David was a graduate of Long Branch High School and enjoyed athletics, specifically track and soccer. David was very proud to say he was from Long branch.

He was very soft-spoken and mostly kept to himself, but those that were close to him say that nobody had a bigger heart than he did. He had the most genuine love and warmest heart many people can say he always treated others with respect.

He was very passionate about music, he enjoyed taking long walks, and had a great relationship with his childhood friends. Continued to gain more friendships that he also cherished as he got older.

David expressed himself through his tattoos each one represented something meaningful to him. He was known for his authentic braids.

David is survived by his son Julian; his parents: Roberto and Maribel Martinez; and his four siblings: Robert, Elizabeth, Melanie, and Melissa.

His son Julian was someone very close to his heart. David spoke a lot about Julian and always wished the best for his son. He cherished every second he could spend with his son. “My son is my motivation” were his exact words when he thought about Julian. No matter what David loved his son and always wanted him to know that.

Growing up, David was very close with his siblings, but his older brother and he were inseparable.

His two nephews, Aydenn and Ethan loved spending time with their Uncle David whether it was watching a movie, playing soccer, or having the kids do push-ups.

David considered his mom to be his best friend. There was never a day that went by that he never told his mother he loved her.

David will always carry a special place in all our hearts and will always be remembered. We love you forever this is not a goodbye but a see you later. May you rest in peace.

He will be laid to rest at Glenwood Cemetery in a private ceremony for his family.
