I want to start off by saying thank you to my Aunt Bruna. You forever changed our family’s life. Me and my twin mary were born in jersey city, lived there with mom and dad. But life was tough for mom Vitoria (Bruna’s sister) she had epilepsy and was having like 10 seizures a day which was tough on everyone. Then Aunt Bruna and Uncle Vincent offered to make an apartment downstairs in there Home for our family. Thank god we moved to long branch and lived with them our lives were so forever changed. Aunt Bruna made sure we had great holidays, birthdays etc. Most of all I got to spend a lot of times with my cousins Sal, Vinnie, and Domnick plus Aunt Anna. I will always cherish the great memories in long branch with everyone. Aunt Bruna I will truly miss you dearly and I want to thank you For having great sons that are my brothers for life through them I see you. Love you zia brunette

My nonna, Bruna, was the strongest women I’ve ever known. As she lived with me for the last 4 years, battling dimentia for the last 5, i got to see first hand what she went through. Watching her slowly deteriorate over the last 4 years was easily the hardest thing I have ever had to go through. She was the most beautiful, gorgeous, tough women I’ve ever known.
My proudest memory of my grandmother was going over her house almost every Sunday to her amazing dinners composed of meats, pasta, salad, and desserts. I remember just sitting on the couch when i went over saying “ Nonna, can i please have a salad”, and she went and made me that salad. They were so good.
I’m going to miss going over to her and having those silent conversations with her, while I'm talking and she was just listening. Her presence immediately lit up the room and I am forever grateful to have had such a wonderful grandmother that I will cherish for a lifetime.
Watch over me queen. I love you.
Nonna, May you rest in the sweetest place.

My mother, Anna has been missing conversations with her baby sister; but more than that; her best friend for about six years. However she looked forward to visiting with Bruna whenever I took her.
Although she understood that Bruna was Ill and could not speak back, Anna never stopped trying to communicate with her. I suppose any reaction was something to Anna (mia mamma).
When Bruna took her last breath, Anna cried and said, in her dialect, "Na vega chiu a soramu". (Translation:. I'll never see my sister again)
If this brought tears to your eyes; I get it. I heard it in real time, and I had to walk outside, tearing up
I'm sure my mother has many memories of times with Bruna. They were inseparable.
Nanina will miss you Bruna
