Tom....you were the best and did so much...you lived life to the fullest and saw the world....and you were there as a proud teammate as we created the "new" Shore Athletic Club at that historic meeting at the Asbury Park YMCA....You ran with the best and your memory will be with us forever...We fondly remember all those wonderful Long Branch beachfront 4-mile runs "for the whales." We saluted your memory at the start of the Asbury Park Polar Bear 5k on the boardwalk....You were truly with us in soul and spirit...God bless the entire wonderful Bazley family...Au revoir, dear friend and teammate, from Elliott Denman and family, and all our Shore AC membership...

Tom and I met during the days of Surfside Beach Club, and Seashore Day Camp. I remember him as a kind, rather shy person, with a wonderful smile. I am absolutely stunned to learn of his passing. My thoughts and prayers are with Tom and his family. May God bless. . .

A great great loss occurred with Tom's passing. Tom was an outstanding
gentleman and United States Postal Inspector. His excellences in investigative and administrative skills were recognized at his retirement by the Department of Justice. My wife, Maree, and I often dined with Tom and Lynn and joined them on several cruises. Much to our financial delight, Tom was a master at finding excellent inexpensive cruises. I will have fond memories of Tom each time I bike past his Davis Islands home. We have socialized with Tom and Lynn for eighteen years; Lord knows Maree and I will be among the many that will miss Tom Bazley.

I knew Tom since I was 15 years old, having run against him for three years
when he was at Long Branch H.S. and I at Middletown H.S. We became
friends over the years when we ran for the same Shore Athletic Club and
in many races. He was one of the original Shore A.C. and open distance
runners of the Shore area. I always looked forward to seeing him in later
years when he would come up from Florida to visit family and run in the
Asbury Park Polar Bear race. Both Tom and I ran in the first Polar Bear in
1964, so seeing him at the later one's always brought back good memories.
In the 1970's, he, his brother Bob and their father conducted the Long
Branch Beach run, and always had it as a well organized event. I also
recall meeting up with Tom in the mid-1970's when we were both out for
a training run. My second daughter had been born that day, and we had
a great conversation about families and the future. I am sorry that he
passed so soon.

I had the pleasure of working with Tom back in the 70’s. He was working miscellaneous investigations, and I was working EC, in same territory. As a result we often partnered. Tom was a true gentleman, a good friend and a terrific Inspector.
My deepest condolences to the Bazley family.
