Christopher Rosado Handler

Obituary of Christopher Michael Rosado Handler

Christopher Michael Rosado Handler, 31, of Leonardo, NJ found eternal peace and rest on April 29, 2020. He was born July 2, 1988 in Hoboken, NJ to Nancy Lynch and the late Jose Rosado. He went on to spend his life loved deeply by both his biological and adoptive family, as well as countless others.

Chris grew up in the Lincroft and Leonardo sections of Middletown Township. He was a handsome, happy boy who excelled at sports. He insisted on his own weight lifting set at the tender age of 4; earned his red belt at Tiger Schulmanns Karate; played Lincroft Little League baseball; and played football for many years, first through River Plaza-Lincroft Chargers Pop Warner, Middletown Eagles Pop Warner and then earning a spot on the Middletown South Varsity team as a freshman. Chris was always surrounded by a large group of friends, where he often served as the leader of his pack.

Chris always lived his life on his own terms. He was agreeable, popular, gentle and loved his family deeply. He had many dreams and plans he was always working towards. He was exceedingly self-sufficient, funny, and resourceful. These qualities led him to live in many places and meet many people along the way. He will be missed dearly by all of the lives he touched in his time.

Chris was predeceased by his father Jose, and proud grandpa, David Handler. More than anything in this life, Chris was proud of his daughter. He always worked to be the best dad he could be to Layla. It was his highest aspiration and greatest wish. Layla will be loved unconditionally by the others he leaves behind- mother Nancy Lynch, mother Charmaine Handler, father Michael Handler, sisters Sarah Handler (Jonathan Banta), Kristen Handler (Ross Tuskey), Alexis Bimatovs (Arman Bimatovs), Nikki Rivera, Meghan Handler, Jessica Rosado, and Jennifer Rosado; brothers Joshua Rivera (Jessica) and Emilio Rosado; grandparents Michael Lynch, Elaine Hoban, Anne Handler, and Raymond and Mary Boyea; nieces Amalia, Grey, and Aurora; a nephew, Ezra, and many other aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for donations to a 529 college fund for his daughter, Layla, through Go Fund Me. https://www.gofundme.com/f/memorial-fund-for-chris-handlers-daughter   Due to the current Covid 19 restrictions, the family is planning a virtual memorial service at 11 am on Saturday, May 16th.  Details will be shared on Alexis Bimatovs’ Facebook page.

Chris’s extended family would like to thank everyone who was kind to him, watched over him, welcomed him, and loved him. He was a good boy and a kind man. His mark on this earth was a broad one. He will be deeply missed. We love you, Chris. -
